Father's Day Activities Rain Or Shine - Ottawa

Father’s day is Sunday! Some of you are probably trying to come up with some fun family-style activities to make the day extra special! Here are some ideas:

• Go Karting: Who doesn’t love this fun indoor or outdoor activity. Let dad embrace his inner Jeff Gordon as he takes on the racetrack!  If you’re in Ottawa you can visit Top Karting or Karters’ Korner.

 

• Paint Ball: For some reason dad’s get a kick out shooting tiny, angry paint pellets at people. Bring the whole family even (if everyone is the right age)! Tag Zone, Delta Force Paintball & Commando Paintball are all wonderful places to visit! If your looking for something a tad less painful/ have younger kids, go play some laser tag (Fun Haven & Laser Quest)!

 

• Museum Tour: Is dad a history or science buff? Perhaps a trip down to the Museum Of Civilization, the Museum Of Nature, the War Museum or the Science & Tech Museum would make a great activity for a rainy day!

 

• Beer Tasting: Maybe kids are all grown up and you want a more age-appropriate activity. Try beer tasting or even a brewery tour! Check out these LISTINGS.

• Escape Manor: You are usually required to book before hand, but it never hurts to check! Solve some cool, intense puzzles to escape from a room your family is trapped in! 

 

• Omega Park is such a fun way to enjoy nature, learn a little something and het drooled on by a herd of elk. I have some pretty great memories of driving through the open zoo that showcases dozens of Canadian animals (such a elk, bears, wolves and more)! 

• Be a pirate for the day with Pirate Adventures – A unique and unforgettable experience for the whole family. Hop aboard a pirate ship in the heart of downtown Ottawa, along the Canal.

• Geo Caching: Speaking of pirates, did you know there is treasure hidden all around the city? Download a Geo Caching App and take your family around the city hunting for some real buried treasure! Pack some snack for your little adventures and explore interesting places along the way!
